The K2 is the toughest one day cycle challenge in the Southern Hemisphere. It is also one of the most scenic and varied as it circumnavigates The Coromandel.

Every year the event starts in a different town, Thames in 2018, circumnavigating The Coromandel. The Flight Centre K2 is also one of the most scenic and varied races with the route traveling through sub tropical forest, pacific coastlines, rural farmland and the Pohutukawa coastline of the Hauraki Gulf.

There is a range of different options for all aspirations, with the full 200km solo race probably the toughest one-day road cycle race in the Southern hemisphere! There are five races this year, each starting in a different pace to finish in Coromandel Town: the 200km K2, the 100km K1, 50km Nicholas Browne Challenge, the mighty K4 (two 200km laps, held every 4 years), and new in 2018 the DirtyK north of Coromandel Town.
