Some of New Zealand's iconic places can be found here in The Coromandel, and many visitors will come especially to see these first.  From the world-renowned Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach to one of the country's best day hikes up The Pinnacles, and the deep and steep Karangahake Gorge, the variety of experiences across the region are showcased in these four places alone.

There are some additional locals' favourites that are worth adding to your list. Cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail, sampling homegrown food along the way, taking selfies at the L&P bottle in Paeroa and catching the train from Waikino to Waihi will be highlights that you'll tell your friends about. At the other end of the peninsula, Driving Creek offers experiences that bring you back to nature and bring out your creative talents while also offering tours, like you've never had before. We encourage you to venture a little further.
