Since 2013, The Little Gallery Tairua has gained a strong reputation as a leading contemporary art gallery and a must-see cultural destination in the picturesque Coromandel. With the opening of a second gallery in Whangamata in November 2017, The Little Gallery continues to offer a diverse, ever-changing range of original paintings, prints, sculptures, weaving, ceramics and more in Whangamata and Tairua.
Owned by Faye Saunders, a lover of all things art, under her capable guidance the galleries are operated with a team of local Coromandel and New Zealand Artists who volunteer in the galleries. Art lovers are afforded the unique opportunity to meet local artists and achieve new levels of understanding of the works exhibited from a first-hand perspective. The Little Gallery is proud to represent a stable of over 50 established New Zealand artists and showcase the diversity of Coromandel talent. With the vast majority of exhibited artwork by local Coromandel artists or those with a strong affiliation to the region, a visit to the gallery offers a visual feast of New Zealand artwork; a creative experience never to be forgotten.
