The combination of smoking and brining is the traditional artisan way and the secret to maintaining the juicy integrity of our natural New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels. Blackbeards Smokehouse operates a traditional brick kiln using heat and old fashioned manuka wood smoke to create a unique traditional product with an exceptional flavour. We have created our own marinates using where possible the best fresh locally sourced ingredients; fresh local garlic, organic kaffir lime, and NZ sea salt, to name a few. The result is a 100% natural and preservative free delicious, healthy product.
