Ride of the Legends visit Thames
Ride of the Lions is a charity cycle between Wellington and Auckland which will see around 50 cyclists arrive in Thames on July 6th. Rugby legends from UK & Ireland and New Zealand will come together in Thames. Thames Rugby and Sports Club will welcome guests for an ocassion that celebrates the spirit of grassroots rugby and the two charities the cyclists are supporting;
UK riders are fundraising for Wooden Spoon and WWTW : NZ riders are fundraising for Conductive Education NZ
The ride will continue north on July 7th along the stunning Thames Coast Road to the heritage town of Coromandel. From there cyclists will catch the 2 hour ferry across the Firth of Thames directly to downtown Auckland.
