The Coromandel Nature Highlights - 1/2 - 2 days

 

• Take a tour with one of our experienced nature specialists. They will take you into the depths of The Coromandel’s sub-tropical native rain forest and share with you their knowledge of the flora and fauna. The forest is rich in glow-worms and native birdlife.
   
• Experience the magic of the Te-Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve up close. Various options, catering for all adventure levels, include scenic boat trips, sea kayaking adventures, and underwater diving excursions.
   
• Visitors will welcome and enjoy the assortment of New Zealand native and exotic flora at various gardens, of which some have been presented with a “Gardens of Distinction” award.
   
• For hiking enthusiasts, a range of walks and tramps depart from the Department of Conservation field station and information centre based in the Kauaeranga Valley near Thames.
